Arag Introduces Legal Insurance to Slovenia's Market

Ljubljana, Mar. 9

Insurance company Arag launched operations on the Slovenian market on 1 March, introducing legal insurance, a service so far unknown in Slovenia. The new service will be marketed as part of the services of some Slovenian insurers, their agents and distributors, Marko Vončina of the Arag Slovenija management said. The insurer expects to collect EUR 120,000 worth of premiums in the first year and break even in four years. Legal insurance services are available for individuals as well as companies, said Vončina. Yet it is car insurance that is expected to be the biggest success. Arag Slovenija is in 100-percent ownership of Arag Austria, one of the five largest legal insurance providers in Austria. Last year it increased the value of premiums by more than 10 percent to EUR 31m and had a market share of about 10 percent.
